Steps to Stability Rockhampton Region

Steps to Stability is a practical, interactive 10-week program for parents/families with at least one child under the age of 8.

The program aims to build capacity, resilience and stability for families by providing them with information and resources to increase their skills to navigate life’s hurdles and challenges.

Our goal is to build coping skills by empowering people with education, information and the tools to work through adversity.

The program will be delivered over 10 weeks, during school term 4, 2023 and terms 1 and 2 of 2024.

We are hoping for groups of up to 10 parents per rollout. Children are welcome. Where necessary, we have flexibility in program delivery so if you feel this may be required, please reach out to our Rockhampton team to discuss further.

The topics covered in the program are Goal setting, Wellbeing and Self-care, Health, Healthy Relationships, Support networks, Financial security, Food and Nutrition, Housing and Accommodation, Education and Employment.

During the 10-week program, parents will build the skills, knowledge and pathways to access support.  Parents will also learn how to set obtainable, realistic goals and will learn ways to increase and maintain stability in their lives.
